Campeones, Campeones ooooehooooehooooehoooeh

Last Sunday marked the first time Spain had ever been in the World Cup finals.  I know we have big sports in the U.S., but the World Cup is some people's whole life.  It is the Olympics times 1 million and I was lucky enough to be in this beautiful place when it happened.
Me and a half million of my closest friends decided to go to the Plaça de Espanya to watch the game.  Here we are exiting the metro.
Find a place to watch the game where ever you can.
Can you see the screen to the middle left-hand side of the picture?  Me neither!  What a great view of the game.
I stood in a fountain.
Listen to the song of the people!
For the second half I decided to go to a bar where I could actually watch the game and be with friends.  In the 117th minute (overtime) Andrés Iniesta: GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!  So what did we do after the win -- back to the Plaça de Espanya.  One little ball in the back of a net did the following:
In a car on the way to the victory celebration.
The streets were filled with motorbikes and cars.  And many were completely closed for pedestrians.
This guy, passed out on a bench, was awakened by some people who did not want him to miss out on the celebration.
La Furia Roja! (The nickname of the Spanish team).
People on a bus stop.  There were police all around, but they let people celebrate (because they were celebrating too).
I know it looks like some sort of violent protest or rally, but for the most part people were just having a good time.  No violence, just joy.
We were on T.V.!!
Amigos felices.
No soy español, pero estoy de acuerdo: Gracias Dios para esta noche.
